Abhijeet Saawant's Surprising Admission
Abhijeet Saawant, known for his victory in the inaugural season of Indian Idol, recently disclosed that he had a Tinder account without his wife's knowledge. In a candid interview with HindiRush, he shared that he did engage in conversations with some women on the platform, but he never took it further or arranged any meetings.
Reflecting on his decision to create a Tinder profile, Abhijeet explained, “I’ve always been curious. While in the US with a friend, he introduced me to this new dating app. I set up my profile and occasionally checked it out to see what it was all about. I used my real name and details, and my wife was unaware of it. However, I didn’t meet anyone or pursue anything.”
He continued, “I would get matches and chat with people. It was quite strange. I enjoy conversing and found that I could have deep discussions with women. I connected with a few individuals who were nice to talk to. Later, when it became public on Twitter that I had an account, I thought it might not look good. My wife didn’t know until now, but she’s starting to find out. She has no idea what Tinder is, but now she’s learning. If you want to do something, do it openly. How can I manage everything?”
Abhijeet tied the knot with Shilpa in 2007, and the couple shares two children. They also showcased their dancing skills on Nach Baliye Season 4.
